I had wanted to dine at Meza Malonga on my birthday, but it wasn’t quite in the cards. Thankfully, it was worth the wait for the reservation. It’s my favorite restaurant in Kigali, and one of the best meals I’ve had in Africa. Chef Dieuveil Malonga is doing some fantastic work in his kitchen, and is doing a lot to elevate the level of dining in the capital. The first thing I’m going to do when I head back to Kigali is to make a reservation.
